Talk about a lesson in contrast. This WWII B25, Betty's Dream, was in Columbia, SC at Owens Field for Veterans Day during a tour sponsored by SC Historic Aviation Foundation. My friend and co-worker, Stan Ashley, offered me the opportunity to photograph the B25 with his ultramodern Lancair Legacy. The Lancair is a small kit plane that Stan bought from someone, the original builder I think, a couple of years ago. And when I say 'small', I mean small! Stan loves it and enjoys flying it as often as possible, but I can't say that I would be as excited.....
